Crowd-Sourcing for Film Production
Since 2000, I have envisioned a way in which filmmakers could at least generate half of the funding they needed for their films via crowd-sourcing, but unless your company is a 501C (non-profit) taking donations isnt something advisable. Still, I always thought that film audiences members were much more supportive of unique films than investors who may lose large amounts of money. After interviewing @Indywoodfilms on Twitter, I realized that he was not asking for people to donate; he was selling producer packages: Supporters could pre-order copies of the film and have their names listed in the credits. |
