Our Unique Production Strategy for THEM |
|
We know that there are filmmakers who, on the internet, are using crowd-funding to fund their film productions, but there is no way that we could ever raise our entire budget for THEM by crowd-sourcing. The budget needed for THEM is much to large to raise this way, but we wanted to incorporate crowd-funding into part of our production strategy. We devised a unique strategy that (according to our research) no other film production has attempted before. We are going to split the film into Three Production Phases:
Act I (the first 30 minutes of the film),
Act II (the second 30 minutes of the film), and
The remainder of the film (the final 60 minutes).
When we have raised the needed funds for Act I we will shoot and cut it together as a finished film. This will then be available for people to watch on RebFest.com for a very small fee. We believe that this will help build a fan base and draw in more interest around the film. Money generated from the views on RebFest.com, along with more fundraising, will give us the needed budget to shoot Act II. We will then utilize both Act 1 and Act II to draw in investors to fund the remainder of the film. The last part of the film production will cost more than the Act I and Act II because of the required effects and cast size.
This production strategy gives us the ability to focus on the film in segments, show investors the quality and interest in the film and the ability to bring the audience into the story and funding of the film.
