Youth and young adults are yearning for inspiration and hope for the future. J.B. Movies’ film productions strive to provide that inspiration through unique opportunities involving imagination, creativity, and apprenticeship throughout the entire filmmaking process. J.B. Movies is currently raising funds for its next film, “Child of the Crimson Skye”, and a large portion of that funding will allow us to offer internships for youth and young adults from Southwestern Indiana (primarily the Evansville/Newburgh area).
We have found that young people gain more than knowledge in camerawork, set design, or editing skills during a film production. Filmmaking inspires hope and optimism, critical thinking, creativity, troubleshooting, and teamwork in many remarkable ways and these skills can be used for whatever future career path they choose. For example, while talking over lunch with the crew on our last short film, the stunt director explained some of the physics and math involved with keeping the stunts safe. For one of the students who struggled in those subjects, having a real-world reason to understand physics gave them a new perspective.
Students who were involved in our past projects have been inspired to go to college, pursue job training, or even start their own businesses. The work they do for us can be used on their resumes, in their portfolios, and can even count for school credit. We have seen young people step-up, work hard, and try new things. We feel blessed to be able to offer a safe environment for those interested in the world of film production and celebrate what we can create together!
This is just the beginning. Our goal is to produce multiple films in Southern Indiana, and we even plan to pursue a production studio where we can continue to mentor youth and young adults while creating family-friendly films.​​​​

How does the donation process work?
The donate button above goes to our fund at NCF (National Christian Foundation). The funds raised for the J.B. Movies Fund will be sent to our fiscal sponsor which works with for-profit films such as ours. Your charitable paperwork for taxes will be sent to you from NCF.
